A Proud Heroic Wonders of Vietnam!

A trip to Vietnam would not be complete without seeing the Cu Chi Tunnels and understanding the Vietnam War. The Cu Chi Tunnels are an amazing piece of Vietnamese history, especially being one of the most important remnants of the war era.

Located 50 kilometers northwest of Ho Chi Minh City, this historical site is an elaborate underground network made up of 250km of tunnels and chambers in the town of Cu Chi. Visiting the Cu Chi Tunnels, you will get to see first-hand and up close how the Vietnamese soldiers fought for the country’s reunification.

Furthermore, you will have a chance to experience going through a real tunnel, get a deep insight how the Vietnamese survived living inside the tunnels for years and understand their high-leveled determination and undaunted fighting spirit despite the carpet-bombings and tanks.

7:30AM, pick you up at the hotel lobby and then transfer you to the central pier by car or minivan.

Embark on a speedboat heading towards Cu Chi Tunnels (Ben Dinh), this water journey provides a glimpse of the changing landscape of Vietnam from the glittering skyscrapers and busy commercial centers to peaceful rural life along the riverbank.
When sitting on board, a light breakfast of croissant, fresh tropical fruits and mineral water are served. Along the way, you can enjoy the fresh air and get a chance to see many small villages, fishing boats and lush vegetation. Besides, lots of information about the daily life of local people on the riverside and natural environment will be provided by a tour guide via wireless headset devices.
After a one-hour and fifteen-minute speedboat ride, arrive at Cu Chi Tunnels area and take a soft walk into the jungle to visit the bomb craters, the countless traps, the secret entrance, the fighting bunkers, the air ventilation and the constructed living areas. Again, the little personal wireless headsets are equipped during the Cu Chi Tunnels tour so that you can hear the commentaries from a tour guide clearly and effortlessly.
For those interested, there is a chance to fire off an AK47 or MK16 with real bullets at the shooting range (bullets covered by your own expense). Furthermore, you can witness the rice-paper (spring roll skin) and the rice-wine production line.
Of course, the most exciting part is to try to go through a real underground tunnel that gives you once-in-a-lifetime experience to be a real VC – Vietnamese Communist. However, if you are claustrophobic, you can skip it as it is completely optional and only a small part of the tour.
Afterward, you will gather together for test-tasting the steamed tapioca root which is the main staple food in Cu Chi during the war. Later on, watch a short documentary video about Cu Chi guerillas in the Vietnam war.
11:30AM, say goodbye to Cu Chi Tunnels and get on a speedboat to head to a riverside restaurant at a picturesque village to enjoy a traditional Vietnamese lunch.
2:00PM, return to Saigon and be dropped off at your hotel.
